"We are very excited that Coach Newell is willing to take his Sunday and come in and speak to our senior athletes. He brings a unique perspective as a scout and professional baseball coach," said Oxford Community Schools Director of Athletics Jordan Ackerman. "I have known Coach Newell for about 10 years now and I can say first hand that he makes everyone he comes into contact with better and I am not only speaking about baseball. He is one of the best baseball minds in the country and an all around great individual. Coach Newell sets high standards and sets a fantastic example of a great attitude and moral compass and that is why I am excited for him to speak to our athletes this weekend."
